We use permaculture principles to transform Edinburgh’s ‘forgotten edges’ — neglected planters, street trees, and graveyards — into attractive community spaces for all to enjoy. Our low-cost, low-maintenance planting designs support biodiversity and soil health while benefiting local communities.
We also take on all kinds of garden maintenance, garden design, and small-scale landscaping work. We build compost bays, planters, lawn edging and other garden structures, using locally sourced or reclaimed materials.

With funding from Edinburgh Community Climate Action Network, we are revamping 10-15 neglected street planters and tree bases in Edinburgh with colourful, biodiversity-friendly planting schemes using permaculture principles. Small trees, shrubs, herbaceous perennials and ground cover plants will provide year-round interest, focusing on native and drought-resistant species where possible. We involve local communities and businesses, gathering their input and providing them with all the information and resources needed to maintain the planters in the long term.
